Overheard in New York: At the Comedy Cellar

The New Yorker has been sending their cartoonists out into New York to eavesdrop (or as I’ve been calling it, “Eavesdraw”) on its inhabitants, and publish their findings, verbatim, in their collection “Overheard in New York”. *

I perched myself at the Comedy Cellar & Olive Tree Café in Greenwich Village** — my favourite place in all of New York — over the course of two months and scribbled down what I saw… and overheard. Verbatim.
